Soul Love

We were lying in bed together snuggling

He looked over at me staring so deeply into my eyes and said something that instantly took my breath away.

He can be so deep when he lets his guard down

Gets out of his head and into his heart

The intimacy we initially shared used to put me on edge

The connection was so intense, it quite frightened me at times

I’d never had someone see me like that before

Like I was standing in front of him completely naked..physically, yes, but even more so emotionally

It used to make me want to run and hide

That kind of exposure,

That amount of vulnerability,

Felt as though it would eat me alive

Now, it’s as if that inner fire is tended to and constantly kept burning by our inner most deepest heart’s desires.

As he stared deeply into my eyes, he said, “I don’t even need to touch you in order to feel you,

I feel you all the time.

Your essence is so beautiful

Touching you physically is exquisite but feeling you,

Well…it’s as if I’ve finally come home.”

As you can guess, I melted.

My heart smiled right then and hasn’t stopped since.

I am you and you are me

And we are one

Reunited again in twin soul love.
